Tidal is used to optimize mission-critical business processes, manage SLAs, improve use of IT resources and meet regulatory audit and compliance requirements. Although Tidal has a 35+ year history, the vendor describes their continual commitment to innovate, with a product development cycle that includes launching three major releases per year.

Tidal automation is one of the best automation tool in managing the workload of an organization. The best part is that It's directly connected to the heart of our system where we runs more than 6000 jobs on the daily basis. It helps us to save a lot of time by doing all the repetitive tasks very efficiently with no error. We run all the batch jobs where it automatically monitors all the jobs by giving insights of how many jobs are failed, running, stopped and waiting for dependencies. It is among the greatest tools available for both monitoring and scheduling tasks at various frequencies.
  • During the patching activity or down time all the schedulers can be stopped and jobs are halted.
  • Most efficient tool in doing repetitive tasks hence It saves a lot of time with minimum possibility of error.
  • Alerting mechanics is at best, It provides alerts for any falling job or if any job is taking to much time to complete or if job has been completed successfully.
  • The UI can be better, Initial setup is time consuming
  • More customization can be added so that it meet needs of the consumers
  • There is no ample training videos on this tool

As a Senior Analyst for Sales Operations I do handle a lot of Reporting, Visualization and Analysis which includes preparing data, uploading data on to Database, Extract data, prepare visualization and reports. Publish the reports, analyze business trends and share insights.
This involves a lot of manual tasks which needs to be repeated more often, Tidal automation has rapidly brought down the frequency of a same task being repeated multiple times.
All that we need to do is set-up configure and schedule the tasks and it does the job perfectly with minimal errors and high accuracy.
The buil-in customization feature enables us to set-up requirements as per the needs of your Stakeholders and just get the dashboard ready on your finger tips.
  • Automating repetitive task
  • Scheduling Jobs
  • Minimizing manual efforts and maximizing accuracy
  • Monitor jobs
  • Downtime needs to be reduced
  • Initial Set-up is a bit complex
  • Requires coding language to make best use of the software
  • Insufficient Training modules
Tidal automation is best suited in an organizational environment where the tasks are done manually and cannot be scheduled by time or a specific event, for example whenever new data is uploaded on to a database server the reporting and visualization tools need to be refreshed and published in order to view real-time data on services. Tidal automation can automate this by scheduling jobs based on events like whenever the new data is uploaded, the database refresh can be triggered which can in turn trigger the refresh and publish of reports and dashboards that are connected to the database.

Not an appropriate fit for small size corporates where tasks are minimal and can be manually handled.

  • Saved lot of manual hours (reduced ~21 manual hours to ~6 manual hours)
  • Increased the quality of output by ~ 10%
  • Reduced the scope for errors
Tidal automation is easy to use, user friendly when compared to other softwares. More flexible than other softwares in terms of integration with other applications and services. scheduling jobs by events is more efficient than scheduling jobs by time which other softwares usually offer. Allows us to manage and monitor various jobs across multiple platforms. Ability to handle errors and failures is a great option Tidal Automation provides.

The most efficient way of handling the automated tasks in tedious jobs. One of the best featues in the automation tool is the triggers which are the functional alerting part of the application. They will help the users in getting a alert while the job is going on and when they are done. The other is the scheduler itself while it plays a major role in allocating the tasks for the automation tool.
  • The alerting system that are the triggers which will give a message that the tasks are being done
  • The scheduler which manages the flow of work with the jobs that are being carried way in the processsing part
  • The automation of tool is really reducing the tedious tasks which are done by users with less man power
  • The UI can be improved as it is the face of the application to end users
  • Knowledge on the application is limited
  • there was a lag while integrating the sofware
Tidal is well suited for the organization that is looking for automating the jobs and improve the business usage. This type of tools help build a team which can handle more tasks. It can track all the process that are running in the system hence none of the jobs are left behind . Organizing the jobs are well done as the scheduler will be held responsible for the same.
